Bertie's taking the piss

Bertie the Bollix is really taking the piss by accepting a salary raise of 38 thousand euro per year. That brings his salary to around 10 times the average industrial wage, and nearly 100 times what a good number of citizens are expected to survive on. Now that it's his last term in office (10 years too late) he's not even bothering to hide the fact that he doesn't give a fuck about the country or its citizens behind his customary inimitable in(s)ane blandishments.

• Bertie did the Oliver Cromwell to everyone west of the Shannon, by doing a secret deal with Ian Paisley whereby Aer Lingus pull out of Shannon Airport taking the 4 Heathrow slots with them to Belfast
  
• We all know that Bertie has told a pack of lies to the Mahon Tribunal. We know that because he keeps changing the lies in an effort to sow confusion - presumably in the hope that he'll escape in the smoke and mirrors.
  
• The arrogance of this current shower who sit atop the steaming dunghill that is the Banana Regime really is something to behold!
  

I am compelled once more to call for a revolution to remove this festering boil nest that has spread across the public face of dis here Banana Republic, where mediocrity is the standard, incompetence the order of the day, and abdication of any responsibility the norm in the whole fetid mess that passes for the state authorities.
Connolly must have a reeling in his head from turning in his grave, as must Pearse. For the ideals of a just republic for all the people have been betrayed utterly.
