Same old shit different year

That globulous blob from Mullingar, the current Minister for Ripping off the Citizenry, Biffo Cowpat, has come out with the same old shit we have grown so accustomed to year after year from the eFFing Party - throw a large bone to the Construction Industry in the form of a completely unnecessary change to stamp duty on second-hand houses. Only a small minority of the population buy houses in any year, and then only as a once-off. This is yet more proof that the eFFers are in the ever deepening pockets of the Construction Industry, if proof were needed!

Meanwhile, Biffo increases the already riduculously high tax on cars, instead of getting rid of this ludicrous tax altogether, and putting the duty on petrol. This is what he would have done if he were serious about tackling one of the causes of climate change - Carbon dioxide emissions.

Furthermore, Biffo has raised the already high treshold for the Drugs Refund Scheme to 90 euros a month. What this means is that anybody who is unfortunate enough to require long-term perscription medicines (for such things as hypertension, or cholestrol, or depression) has to pay the first 90 Euros out of their own pockets. Which is akin to kicking them in the genitals when they're down!
